Family Advisory Council

The mission of the Family Advisory Council (FAC) is to help make students and their families the center of the school. The FAC serves to increase communication between families and staff and to help raise student achievement. We believe that it takes all members of our community (i.e. parents, peers, teachers, and staff) to graduate our students and inspire them to pursue further education.

Student Success and YOU

At YWLCS, we believe that everyone from families to teachers to community supporters play a role in our students' success. As a parent/guardian, you can do many things to make sure your student is staying on the right track academically. At the end of each quarter, we ask that all parents or guardians of each student come to Report Card Pick-Up Day. Each student, along with the teacher, discusses with the parent or guardian what she accomplished during the trimester.
